Title: EBMM JP7 suggestions for a set of pups
Post by: stonevibe on November 26, 2011, 07:03:32 PM
I own a EBMM JP7 it has a set of the standard Tonezone/AirNorton pickup combo in and the piezo as well. I'm possibly the market for a set of replacement pickups and wanted some suggestions as to which BKs would be suitable for a basswood bodied guitar.

I own a few sets of BKs in my six stringers from Mules, Stormy Mondays, Steve Stevens, Emeralds and Miraclemans. This time I'm looking for something more aggressive and punchy.

Was contemplating Nailbombs or a Nailbomb in the bridge and something warm in the neck.

Anyways what do you think would work in this guitar?

Another vote for the C-Bomb. You could opt for a Crawler-neck, which is quite warm. I understood Tim said that this kind of combo works.

So a ceramic in the bridge and an alnico V in the neck?

yep. Ceramic neck models are not the most successful thing :)
