I'm with nfe, to be honest. It wouldn't be a "hilariously ironic" revenge if he'd scarred her for life with acid or a knife, so I don't really see a moral difference in doing it with a tattoo needle.

It''s hardly like stabbing somebody or burning their face with acid. Especially since she agreed to having a tattoo, she wouldn't have agreed to being stabbed I doubt.
It's over the top what he did but I wouldn't waste a jail cell on him. I'd sentence him to community service clearing up dog sh!t for a few months....

I'm actually right on the fence about it myself. On one hand, it wasn't exactly an appropriate response and she will spend a lot of money fixing that cr@ppy tattoo. A pro at covering old art could give her something close to what she had wanted, but she'd have to cough up the money. I can also see that there's some poetic symmetry to doing something horrible when her back was turned and the fact that it all went to plan flawlessly is pretty impressive.

Yeah, permenantly marking someone for screwing around with your best friend is not on. Screwing her best friend or sister would have been more appropriate.

Not sure how many people here have experienced a long term partner cheating on them, but I can say from personal experience its the worst kind of betrayal possible. My feelings on this are still quite raw, so I'm not exactly sympathetic to this lass' situation.
