Title: Holydiver or Rebel Yell? Maple Body with bold-on Maple Neck

Hi everyone,

I have a 'heavy' Tele with 2 Humbuckers,  only 1 Volume knob and a 2-point tremolo. The body is made of maple with tiger stripe maple veneer and a 1 pice bold-on maple neck.
I want to install new humbuckers to get a more modern rock sound. I heard the demos of the Rebel Yell and I like it very much. But I have some concerns to go for the Rebel Yell because I asume they are a good choice for mahgony body but for not a maple body. Maple sounds brighter that mahagony and perhaps the sound is getting too bright.
Due to my axe don't has a tone knob, I'm thinking about the Holydiver because of less high end.
What would be the better choise? Any ideas? Any expirience?

Rebell Yell will be too bright.
I say alnico Nailbomb. It gives you more low and lo-mid and help to sound fuller.

Definitely Holydiver over Rebel Yell for this axe. But I would also recommend the Alnico Nailbomb here - it is a bit darker than the Holydiver and would balance the maple even more.

I really hope those NB will work in your axe, but i think i should warn you about the big failure that was the NB set in this axe for me : http://www.schecterguitars.com/International/Products/Guitar/PT.aspx

Those NBs were incredible in 2 or 3 other axes but, for some reasons, they just didn't work in this one : thin, weak, almost ice picky... I did check several time the wiring, but everything was fine... and a simple Duncan JB was a better match...  it just was a big riddle...

I'm sure they'll be fine in your axe (which probably is of a higher quality) but, if you were to be disappointed by this match, my advice would be to just swap them for Holydivers.

Got my nailbombs and nailed them directly into my axe.

Holy shite.   :lol: Sounds so damn good.  :D
