Taken from the products list. Does this accurately reflect the output of these buckers from the lowest (Stormy Monday) to the highest (Warpig) ?
If so, does this mean that the RY is the lowest output pup in the Contemporary range ?

why not check the output yourself whilst you are at the products list??

The products list gives the DC reading which I believe is not necessarily a measure of output.
-
I'd say it's pretty close - but the broad Vintage, Vintage Hot and Contemporary categories are probably a more useful guideline than any "ordered" list.
I wouldn't say the Crawler "feels" any hotter than the Cold Sweat or Rebel Yell, but they all sound very different.
I haven't owned any of the high output models, but again I doubt the Holydiver would seem any hotter than the Nailbomb or Painkiller.

It's certainly not a direct measure of output in the way some people seem to believe. Certainly if there are more windings then the DC resistance will be higher and the output will be higher ...
(pause for breath)
... but pickups generate AC, not DC and resistance to AC varies with frequency which is part of the reason that different pickups have different frequency responses.
So yes, DC resistance is kind of related to output.
And kind of not.
A bit.
Sometimes.
Maybe.

Many users stated the Nailbomb has more output then the Holy Diver. I can contribute that my VHII doesn't seem way less hotter then my Crawler. I notice the different voicings more then the outputdifference.

I think they have pretty much the same output, and so would the Cold Sweat. The Miracle Man is a bit hotter than those, Rebel Yell and Crawlers a bit less but not much. I agree it's more a voicing difference.

I think you can't say at all, because it's not just the output, but also closeness to the strings and frequencies. A pickup with a large amount of upper mids will drive the amp more, even if the magnet doesn't push the output that much.
