Title: New modular tone stack day!
Post by: Dmoney on January 13, 2012, 09:36:07 PM
I quite proud of this.
I'm working on a amp and trying to make it as modular as possible. different boards for power supply and the preamp, that sort of thing.
Space is also a little tight since im building it into an existing chassis.

Today I came up with this... is a Marshall tone stack mounted on perfboard, the eyelets in the corner allow the input to the stack to snake through so that stress is relieved on the core of the shielded cable. The cable I'll be using for that will be teflon cored, so I could solder the shield to the first eyelet to make the support solid, without fear of causing a short from shield to core... nifty!

The plan was to keep wiring to a minimum since the back will end up pretty close to the side of the chassis. After some experimentation it looks like everything will work!

Just posting this up cos im proud really. ha. I might still tweak it.
