Have been offered one in Chicago Blue, AAA Top on Poplar, Rosewood FB, HSH Pups with 5 way and coil taps, Limited 100 production worldwide, for what seems to be a good price.
Does anyone have any experience of this model, (or any Gibson 'Hawk') ??
Are they brialliant / rubbish / w.h.y ; I've checked a bit on the web, but can't seem to find much about them other than the basic specs.
Any thoughts before I push the button chaps ?

I'm pretty sure forum member Blue has a Nighthawk or Blueshawk, but not the current model.
You could try PM'ing him if no-one else responds.
Personally I've never tried one, but I've always been quite attracted by the smaller, lighter body compared with a Les Paul.

I had an old Blueshawk (blue/cream) with P90's and that was a pretty decent and good sounding guitar. Are you able to play it before buying? If not, when the price is ok, I would take the chance. They're lightweight and versatile and what I remember is that the neck plays quite comfy. Mine was resonant too.

I love them but they are an aquired taste.
If you can get it at a good price and don't like it you could always move it on without losing too much

OK chaps, thanks for your thoughts on the 'Hawk.
I think I will give it a shot, and at the price I'll pay, I can always move it on if I don't fall in love ! :)
