Have been a bit slack on the old music promotion front the last few years. I'm sure alot of you know about bandcamp, or have a page there already.
Anyway, if not, I've been uploading alot of my music there over the last few days and I think its quite good - low on advertising, sensible layout, easy to use, stats etc.. It gets my vote if anyone was thinking about signing up.
There so many of this type of site now - one things for sure - myspace is dead and buried, thank god! Its hard to know which the good ones are to get involved with - you can't join then all(!)
Any others to be aware of? I know soundcloud is meant to be quite good - but what about the rest?

Not seen this before gwEm - cheers for posting. I won't be uploading any music myself due to time constraints, always good to hear what is out there though.
I must remember to add your version of Little Drummer Boy to my christmas mix CD - I think it's great. It would go down very well at a family Christmas event.

I've only been on there for 4 days, and I've got it setup so you don't need to pay to download my music - but you can give a donation.
Anyway, I've already sold 7 albums(!). Mostly of course people haven't paid, but those 7 albums were for proper money.
Can't be bad! Wasn't expecting anything at all.
Ian: Not sure Little Drummer Boy is quite 100% family friendly.. but thanks for the big up ;)

Thanks for the heads up on Bandcamp. I'm just on setting up a page there now :) http://psyofthedead.bandcamp.com/ (http://psyofthedead.bandcamp.com/)
I've mainly been using SoundCloud as a place to stream the music I use for the music player on my Facebook page from. I must admit I tend to be a slack myself when it comes to promoting my music. I've got a Reverb Nation page set up too, but I'm not keen on their layout. Much prefer the simpler layouts of SoundCloud & Bandcamp
