The amp needs ALOT of work

Its had some ghetto pot replacements and it blows fuses like crazy!

I had it running for a while then it started making tractor noises and popped the fuse again.

After seeing the insides and hearing the amp i probably wont fix it ill just gut it and reuse the chassis/headshell and build something vht/engl based

The cab was free just required picking up!

This im gonna strip down and retolex in white with black corners and get a metal grill made up for it.

All in all its a great day two free stuff for an hour or so of driving around.

The hardest part was sitting in the car with my dad smoking like a chimney as i quit in september and havent really been in close proximity to smokers in an enclosed space for this long!

laney cabs are pretty good if it's a plywood one. for free you might as well have it :D

It is a plywood one.

its the GS412IA

I only grabbed it because it was free to  be honest and once i get my better speakers hooked up in it if i like the sound ill retolex it.

The seventy 80 is god awful (thankfully it only came with one)

Ill get this hooked up properly and tested tomorrow and give the amp another once over before i decide what im doing with it

Good score mate.

So now you have this killer new amp, you won't be needing your SLO I guess? When can I pick it up?  8)

The SLO destroys this in every way..

Especially in the working correctly department :D

Im pretty certain this amp is destined to become something else.

I think i see an uberschall or Splawn Nitro in its future...

i too recently got a free amp in need of some attention, a Carlton Camel.  anyone know anything about it?
