Title: Owie! String Splinter!
Post by: MrBump on January 29, 2012, 06:34:16 PM
Got a shard of string in my goddamn middle finger.  Think that I got most of it out, but it still hurts like billy-o.  Haven't had one of them for years!

 :(

A nag of cheap absinthe fell off some rickety Ikea shelfage in my room and hit my head last week.....
Problem?, meet solution.

this has happened to me more than once.

I've never had a string splinter, touch wood.  I have frequently had "hypodermic string end injury" when changing strings, though.  Why don't all tuners have slotted heads like Klusons?

Owch...

I've never had a string splinter either. But I have had a splinter of chrome plating acquired from lugging the drummer's knackered and bashed stands - that was agony...

I got a new guitar the other day, first 6 string I've bought and ever considered buying, restrung it, first thing, splinters. I am now convinced 6 strings are the work of the devil and should never be touched again.
