God Bless Ozzy Osbourne
BBC2, Sunday 29 January 10.00 - 11.35
Documentary charting the life of Black Sabbath member Ozzy Osbourne, from the wild and hedonistic lifestyle that adversely affected his personal life, through the years of depression, alcoholism and drug dependency that followed and how, helped by second wife Sharon, he overcame his demons. Featuring interviews with Paul McCartney, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and others.
Could be interesting, could be trash.... I'll give it a go!

Yep, I'll watch that if the wife lets me, record it otherwise....
-
I've recorded it too!
-
Watched it, however it left me a bit cold. As much as these documentaries are a PR excercise, this i felt was on overly engineered piece. The executive produce credits told me everything I needs to know.
Mind you the eldest daughter from the second marriage was the looker of the bunch, I'd shag her, not like her younger singing flump of a sister.

I know what you mean, the "talking heads" style of documentary has been done to death and it's all a bit trite.
But concentrating on the man himself, what he said and how he's changed, I found it quite moving - here's a guy who's finally "grown up" and (seemingly) got his life on track, but it's taken him 60+ years to do it.
(And yes, Aimee is surprisingly hot!)

Watching it now - it's cool, there's some great old footage.

I enjoyed it. Sabbath were one of the first bands I got into. I had all their albums up to and including Sabbath Bloody Sabbath after which my musical tastes went in a very different direction. I still like listening to them occasionally, particularly Master of Reality - SOOOOOO heavy.
-
It's a propaganda film, basically, made by his son. Unless I'm thinking of an other documentary.
-
I can never resist a Sabbath/Ozzy programme because Geezer Butler is such a funny guy. 'Back in those days I was heavily into the occult.. and all that Bollocks'.
-
I thought it was pretty good. Better than Dancing on Ice or some other pile of shitee in that vein
-
I enjoyed it too - and yes, Geezer is a legend!

And just look what's just happend with Bill Ward.. Ozzy is senile and his wife is a witch.

She sacked him didn't she? How the $% can she do that he has been in it since it started. £££&$$$ is all that bird ever thinks about.
It did make me laugh a few times seeing some of their old footage and hearing a few of the storys though.

I really dislike her. I try not to dislike people but I really don't like her at all. Maybe it's not all her fault but I think she is a despicable money grabbing toe rag.

Don't have much of an opinion about Sharon, but Ozzy was pretty good when I saw him in Birmingham... a few years ago now. Crumbs, where has the time gone? Wasn't a bad documentary, although I think there's been better ones on BBC4. Still looking forwards to Download though :)
