Planet Rock are caning this track:

As a Schenker fan, I really made a mistake over looking this one. Like it alot.
Anyone heard the rest of the album? Whats it like?

cover is awful:

looks like Michael's wearing a dress straight out a period drama. Second glance reveals that its merely a temple of rock..

great track- keep hearing it on the radio too!
Sounds like it should be Europe's "Last look at Eden"

theres definitely a noticeable similarity there, probably non-intentional
-
I've heard it a lot on Planet Rock too! :D
(Aside: How bloody repetitive is Planet Rock's playlist? If I've heard The Answer's "Nowhere Freeway" once this week, I've heard it a thousand times.... :? )
I was going to say the singer sounds a bit Dio-esque.... just looked it up and I see it's Doogie White, who was in Rainbow when they reformed for about 5 minutes in the '90s.

I seem to be back in Flying V territory this week : - Schenker , John Norum (with V ) , Accept, Scorpions Judas Priest and Kiss

He was in midnight Blue, & has sung for Yngwie Malmsteen, & Rainbow

yes *it is* quite repetitive, but thats like any radio station I guess - at least its good stuff on there. The missus got a digital radio for Christmas from her gran, but I have to say I ensure it stays on Planet Rock most of the time ;)
Whenever I turn it on, its usually Rory Gallagher 'Moonchild'
-
I wrote to them and offered to lend them some CDs if they needed them , so they could change the playlist a bit.
Funnily even the listeners "rockblock" requests seem to have the same songs in them

An old fiancee used to be a radio presenter.. Requests already on the playlist get priority apparently, and those with a nice story attached
-
not sure why I'm being critical.. Planet Rock is the only commercial radio station I listen to out of choice, so they must be doing something right

I am boring and listen to Radio 4 most of the time, but when there's something unbearable on (the Archers omnibus or a play, usually) I go to Planet Rock.
Then I put up with that until something dreadful like Bruce Springsteen comes on....
I'm perfectly happy with the type of music they play, but it's so narrow - if it's Bon Jovi, it'll be "Wanted..." or "Livin' on a Prayer". If it's Aerosmith it'll be "Dream On" or (inexplicably) "Janie's Got a Gun". If it's VH it'll be "Runnin' with the Devil" or "You Really Got Me" (or "Tattoo"). If it's Wishbone Ash it'll always be something off Argus. And every ten minutes they play that bloody song by The Answer.... :?

think i caught the tail end of it on planet rock one night
sounded pretty good
:)
^ yeah i think i've noticed the playlist has got worse teh past year or two. it was pretty good there for a while.
though have you listened to that absolute classic rock radio station (also on sky)? it's way worse.

Looks more like a pyramid of stone to me...

I saw MSG years ago with (I think) Cozy Powell on drums. I was up in the circle seats and I caught the odd glimpse of his roadie playing second guitar behind the amps. So that was nice.
EDIT: No, Ted McKenna on drums, getting confused with the Whitesnake gig around the same time.

Yeah - Steve Casey did that for a while on that tour after Paul Raymond wasn't in the band and there wasn't a second guitarist on stage.
Think that was the first tour I saw MSG - the one where Gary Barden rejoined after Graham Bonnet got let go/quit

I love this song :)
