When I go into the BK main site using Chrome the URL has its https in red and crossed out. Also, the forum is not retaining my login details.
Anyone else having problems ?
-
Yep, same here. If you just click 'login' without entering anything you'll log in as the cookie is stored OK.

I use Google Chrome & I stay logged in to the forum. Mind you I don't go via the main site, I just come straight to the forum.
But on my Android phone I've got the forum bookmarked & I have to log in every time I load the forum on there.

I'm not logged in when I first come to the forum index, but as soon as I enter one of the forum areas I'm logged in.

I think the site switched to https recently? Not entirely sure why - other forums don't seem to feel the need to do that, it's not as if there are any financial transactions going on that need the secure connection.
Anyway, in IE, you get the "some of this content is being delivered in an insecure way" message when you navigate to most BKP forum pages. If you say Yes to the "I don't wanna see the insecure sh1t", then the web page is displayed "text only".
I suspect it's a balls-up, and it should still be http only.

Yeah, I've been getting the same stuff.
I stay logged in in both Chrome and Internet Explorer though, haven't had to log in again.

I'm using Firefox now. I had that problem with Google Chrome. It was doing it on Just-eat.co.uk as well. I was originally using Google Chrome for it's speed, but when I got a new laptop with Windows 7, it was being weird with Youtube. 6 times out of 10, it was crashing when I tried to click of a Youtube tab. But like I said I'm back on Firefox now, and I think it's the best Internet Browser out there :D

Hi Guys,
As AndyR spotted, the forum (and indeed the site) is now using https. It is a sensible security step to protect both the server and its users.
I'm not sure why Chrome is not logging you in on the first page. Maybe clearing your caches may resolve the issue.
Regarding the certificate - it's a bit odd - Firefox gives the green padlock with or without the www, but Chrome will only give the green padlock if it's without the www.
If anyone is having any issues, contact me off board and I'll do my best to assist.

Anyone who was seeing a red cross in Chrome should now see a green padlock.
If it is still red, close Chrome and reopen it and you should be fine.

Thanks Ol, all seems sweet again.

I've started getting a security warning, anyone else?

Not yet today... I probably will now that you've mentioned it!
