Anyone have a recommendation as to what I should put in the bridge of a Jackson PC1? I just purchased it, and though the Super 3 in there sounds good, I know a BKP will sound better. I played a PRS custom 24 and loved the 59/09 pickups in it... Any BKPs similar to that? I have alnico and ceramic nailbombs, divers, and rebel yells, and would like to try something new, though in the end I want the best pickup for that guitar... I really like the rebel yells and to be honest I'm kind of leaning towards those right now. The guitar will be in E standard or drop D, is maple neck mahogany body, bolt on, with a floyd.
Any opinions on the vhii? I want something moderately hot, nothing much cooler than the rebel yell though as I play metal and don't like using a boost pedal. on the flip side... how's the painkiller in E/drop d? I've heard it can be overkill until you hit lower tunings... Ive also heard the aftermath is great in E/drop D but can be kind of scratchy.
thanks

The Super 3 is one of the hottest DiMarzios. Any BKP will "feel" less hot than that.
Rebel Yells would certainly be a good match but if you want something with a bit less output, VHII or Emerald would be worth considering.
