It's a new ukulele day  :D

I bought this for my daughter as it's only proper that she has her own guitar  :D

I think it's the cheapest model that Makala does so my heart will not break if the uku does. I have had some great fun playing it myself although it's quite bad at staying in tune.

Now I'm thinking about buying myself a proper uku...

Ukuleles are awesome. I really need a propper one myself.
Love how THe Magnetic Fields use it, how the Blanks use it and most of all, Eddie Vedders album Ukulele Songs. Genius.

i built myself a tenor uke last year.   

they can be much more than just a novelty instrument,  just a shame that most of them are  cr@ppy plinky plonky rubbish

I would love a mandolin as well, but i thought the uku was both easier and cheaper.

Nice one. I have been thinking of getting one. I had one of those cheap ones with wooden pegs years ago as a kid. Twas fun.
