Title: Aftermath Pickups pair versus Aftermath paired with another BKP?

I just purchased a 7 string Ibanez Prestige 2127z.  It's a 26.5" scale, maple neck with a rosewood fretboard.  The body is basswood.  I am looking for the Periphery tight tone for distortion but wondering how the Aftermath neck pickup sounds.  I like progressive a lot so am hoping the clean pickup is still warm.
