Yesterday evening the highschool where I work threw a party for all the students and teachers. It was a 50s theme party with a lot of great outfits from students as well as teachers. Two of my collegues and me did a little tour around the bars that were installed in different classrooms with a guitar, a bass, a snare drum and a crash symbal. We kept the volume low so we could sing without a mic. It's not often I get to play live so I really had a good time and thoroughly enjoyed playing guitar, bass and singing as well  :D

 The mini set consisted of
 Blue Suede Shoes
 Hound Dog
 The Great Pretender
 Jailhouse Rock
 Heartbreak Hotel
 Johnny B Goode

 What a night!

Yeah quite similar to that although they're better than we are  :D Convincing rockabilly tone from that little amp. Looks like a cube.
Our drummer only used whiskers and was playing standing which was pretty cool and fun.

I should have, but I didn't bring it along as I live 40km. from work and had to bring a lot of other stuff so there wasn't room for it and I didn't want to go back and forth twice, so we played a fender strat instead (unfortunately with a rosewood board. A maple one would have been historically correct).

A Strat worked fine for Buddy Holly.

Check out this clip. It's just so damn cool. It's from Amsterdam and allthough it's not my own recording I have a similar one on my phone fom the exact same place (Ij Brewery) I just couldn't be bothered uploading it to the net  :D

That's Johnny & the Gangsters of Love.

They have all their gear built into the car. You book 'em, don't get a permit, they show up and play untill the cops show up.

 Guerilla rock n' roll.
