OK, I've got a Jackson DKMG (Dinky strat type, Floyd Rose, alder body, maple neck with rosewood board) with twin humbuckers and the whole guitar is "none more black". I've not had it too long, I've just been playing it and the EMG HZ pickups that came with it sound a bit too "mushy" for my tastes. I think it needs BKPs... 8)
It's my 80s/90s rock guitar and I'm after the classic sound from that period - as an example, the guitar sound on "Poison" by Alice Cooper. I want squealed harmonics, HUGE mids with plenty of clear, tight bass and a decent clean sound with the volume rolled off.
What do you reckon? Nailbombs? Crawlers? I'm thinking Alnico for the organic cleans?????

If I remember correctly, Poison was done with a BC Rich Mockingbird Supreme, loaded with DiMarzio Super Distortions. That song has a great sound. So I guess Nailbombs or Holy Divers.

Im my band we cover Poison by alice cooper, and the most authentic tone out of all my BK installed guitars is the Miracle Man.It just has the right balance of power and tone and pinch harmonics just fly from it.
