I'd be interested in that "neck simulation" circuit. I love the look and sustain of a one bucker, but if that works as well as it does in the vid, it'd snuff any desire for an extra pup.

They also make a 27-fret Xiphos, that's both cool and affordable.

Or it might discourage the lead-vocalist from straddling your leg during your guitar solo... (or do they not do that kind of thing nowadays?)

That's the Dana Scoop by Alverez!

Love/Hate's guitarist used one back in the day... http://youtu.be/HtAxLs7nmiU

I want one.

I think they're all hideous and pretty pointless.... but intriguing, nonetheless.

I loved Wasted in America. Their guitarist was a bit of a dick though. A bit Nigel Tuffnel when it came to his rack gear and the other artist/crew looking at it.

+1 except the intriguing part.

Dr. Freud would have been intrigued, I think.

Was that Jon E Love or the shred guy they got in later, Darren Housholder?

I know it was Jon E Love on Wasted in America, but he didn't seem, errr.... sophisticated enough to be too fussed about his gear.

When I saw the thread title I wondered if it would be something like this!

Have you ever played one? I'd be interested to know what the sustain and tuning stability are like with that neck joint...

 :D

My first year at university, my band played this.

We were fecking awesome.  I'm pretty sure I was a sex-god back then.  Back when I had hair, and a much lower BMI...

I love the Dana scoop idea/look although I'm not sure how it wrecked sustain etc

I remember Marc Ferrari of Keel using one when he was part of Tia Carrere's band in Wayne's World

I always wanted to mate the upper horns to the back end of a BC Rich Bich - thought it would look interesting

I'll wait for the 8 string version. Yup.
