Post by: Gizmo on March 14, 2012, 09:00:53 PM
As promised photos attached. Its a bit of a rarity NGD's for me but i've taken ages to find the right one. This is an IOU to myself and from my family for my 30th.

Its Paul Waller. Most Custom shop guitars have the std logo, like on the inside of the case, but i guess Masterbuilt have the V but with the MB signature over the top. From what i've read he is the newest masterbuilder.

Based on 1963 Strat. Alder body - she weights 7.26lbs. Quarter-sawn maple neck with mid-’60s oval “C” back shape. Round-lam rosewood fingerboard, 10.5inch radius and medium jumbo frets. Hand-wound pickups by Abigail Ybarra: Custom ’65s in the middle and neck, with a slightly hotter version at the bridge. Got the 63 short trem arm and metal plate cover for the bridge saddles in the case.

Mighty fine!  :D

I hadn't heard of Paul Waller before today (although I'm no expert on the Custom Shop Master Builders!)

I don't think I'd want to own a guitar built by The Modfather.

The grumpy git would probably deliberately $%&# up the wiring then have a go at you if you were brave enough to complain about it.  :|
