Ive been spoiling myself recently. First the strat, then a Dark Terror and today I bought myself a Gibson Les Paul. Never owned any kind of Les Paul but I've always wanted one. Its an Ice Tea flavour traditional. Its not actually as dark as it looks in the photo. Also the Dark Terror is actually black, not Orange.

Cool! I think Iced Tea is a very nice colour on a Les Paul.

That's a good looker. I hope you enjoy it.

Nice LP! Are the two sides of the top mismatched or is it just the angle that the photo is taken from? It looks great!

what pups are in the strat? how does that sound, out of interest?

That's a very good-looking Les Paul. Probably my favourite colour for LPs. Nice one :D

Nice guitar. Funnily enough though, even though I'm "a Les Paul guy" I'm really liking that Corgan Strat...

Its matched. (I think it's just the off-camera flash making the colour look different)

Its a Billy Corgan signature strat in a non-catalogue colour scheme. They usually come in a choice of Olympic white with a black plate with white pups and knobs or Black body with a plate like you see in mine. For some reason mine is a combo of the two catalogue choices.
The pups are Dimarzio Billy Corgan sig pups in bridge and neck with a Dimarzio chopper in the middle. They are very hot and modern sounding. it sounds cutting but with a big bottom end. They sound much more strat like when you dial the volume pot back. Im not really a good person to ask for a great tonal description though, lol.
Its basically a hardtail Highway One with hot pups. It played like a dream in the store and I had to have it. Same with the Les Paul, lol.
