Yep.. that was my question :)
They are going into a Gibson Custom V with maple neck and ebony fretboard.. it sports a Floyd Rose aswell. Ofcourse it has a mahogany body.
We play slow, dark heavy metal... with a "big" sound.
this is what we sound like:

What would you suggest? :)
Tim suggested aftermath.. I can quite follow that one.

listening to the song you linked it screams Warpig, maybe a ceramic one though.

or an alnico (stock) Warpig if you want it more sludgy.

I thought so aswell! I have a LP with a Nailbomb. The overall layout of the tone is GREAT, but I want a bit more compression.. a bit more metal.
I recon a more metal version of the alnico NB is an alnico WP?
Is the ceramic one, more scooped, but brighter? I like mids...

I have a NB set and I just put a alnico warpig in my other guitar last week
I'm really loving it . The A-pig is brighter than you think it is. it has a roll off in the highs for sure but the bass and mids are very present ,clear and bright and there is still treble there .
I still love my NB set as well but the Apig is way more metal which is what I wanted for this guitar as well . I actually havent had a chance to try it for real with the band yet. our rehearsal time at the moment is dedicated to mixing a few demo tracks rather than playing . but I can give it a little volume at home during the day and I think its got the goods
wouldve loved to try the ceramic as well just to see which I liked more but thats not an option . I'm super happy with my alnico decision .

Sounds great!
I'm getting them for that gibby ;)
Also for my Jackson Kelly Star.

The two BKPs I have experience with so far.
The Warpig is supposed to be the most compressed metal-style BKP. But you can always put a compressor in front of your amp anyway.
The Pig and Aftermath are quite different. The Aftermath is brighter, and has a hard crunch. It has a broad sounding, angry midrange with strong center mids; the Warpig is focused differently, and sounds "thicker." The Aftermath also sounds chimey, for really detailed sounding chords under high gain, which you may or may not want as much.
I can get a similar sound to what you're doing with my Aftermath though, with a little EQ'ing. It's just a question of what kind of feel you want out of your guitar; a choice between dry tightness, or thickness.

short answer: no
the midrange is very saturated, though, but hard and "peaky"
here's a somewhat sludgy riffs short clip I recorded in drop C#
