Post by: adamj on March 31, 2012, 06:12:16 PM
Hey guys, i am selling an amp on ebay and have been contacted by a potential buyer in hungary. he sent me a message asking if he paid for and arranged a courier could i send it to him. iv never done this before. would i just need to box the amp and wait for the courier to show at my house? A litle out of my depth here!

Just make sure you have the money cleared into your bank account before you hand the amp over!

I've never had someone arrange their own courier, although I have shipped things overseas myself.  I guess it'll cost him quite a lot to ship an amp to Hungary.

I suppose as long as you have the money there's not much to worry about.

But make sure you box it up carefully so there's no danger of damage in transit (even then, I guess his claim would be against the couriers....?)

^ true but (presumably, never actually done this myself) it'd need to be insured

i'd make sure he says he's paying for insurance, and get in writing that if he doesn't do so, it's his problem if something goes wrong in transit.
