Alright folks, i know there's people here that can't stand the darkness, but there's one's that love 'em too, and i'm one of them!
i went to their shows in Dublin on saturday night and Belfast on sunday, and they were bloody excellent! they're like bands like ac/dc and queen, even if you don't really like their records they are fantastic live!
as for support bands, The Ark, from Sweden were just a bit too "inept '80's glam band" for comfort, while Juliette and The Licks were very good, (especially in her incredibly tight leotard in belfast;)
I'm gonna try and attach some pictures, so bare with me...
-
And here's a couple more...
-
I havn't seen stage props like that since good old Dave Lee Roth at Wembley!
More power to them!
-
woooooooow!!! those are good boobs. why wasnt i there???

I have to get naked to see these pics?!
OK.
-
searcher please.... that kind of explicitness is really not appropriate...
i mean think of the innocent 9 year olds browsing for sound clips of the nailbombs they hope to be soon purchasing for their new LP's!!!!
-
Searcher please that kinda of APPAULING joke is REALLY not appropriate. :P
-
I dunno about anybody else but The Darkness make me smile and that's a good thing :)

Awesome, I'm off to see them next saturday - can't wait!
-
HAHAHAHA! The boobs one is great! They look like a fun band to see live although I dont really like their music that much
-
They're one big ace-pie. Yeah, you heard me, a pie made of ace.
-
They're an excellent live band, really put on a good performace. I saw them last year, the tour before the new album came out. Ace band.
-
i second Tom's motion. music aint great, but it'd be entertaining to see live!

OK.
well, i was naked when i posted them, but i think of it as "clothing optional"
another thing about the show, in ireland for the last 16 years, we tend to chant "ole, ole ole ole ole" at concerts, it was part of the irish world cup song in 1990 (correct me if i have the wrong year). actually, if you watch skid row's roadkill video, you'll hear us, i'm one of those voices! they were well impressed 8) !
anyway, in Dublin we all started singing it, justin listened for a moment then played along on guitar, then the whole band joined in! it was excellent, a great moment, and i think showed how tight the band is.
so you guys that are going to other dates on the tour, let us know what you think...
for Feline, you may notice a very funky carved les paul, i met the band in Belfast a couple of years ago and had a wee craic with justin about it, it's a total one off, a custom shop les paul that gibson let some wood sculptor loose on, and that was the result! i figure, you make guitars, you might be interested to know...

I saw them in Nottingham on the 1st night of their 1st headlining tour and they kickedd ass :D
-
I like The Darkness quite a lot, but I do wish he'd lay off the falsetto a bit. It can get a bit grating after a while and I tend to only be able to listen to them in small doses of 2-3 songs.
Same thing with Axl Rose actually, he has a rather irritating voice after a while.

Looks like they stole the boobs of AC/DC's Rosie.
I'd like to see a Darkness show. Should be a lotta fun.
