Hey folks
I've tried installing a Dimarzio EP1112 (superswitch) in my RG550 at the same time as a set of Nailbombs, turns out the EP1112 is too big for my guitar so I've gone back to the original YM-05 switch but I can't find any documentation/diagrams for it so don't know how to wire the pickups in.
Has anyone installed a pair of BKP Nailbombs in an Ibanez RG using the YM-05 switch? Got a diagram or description to help?
I bought the EP1112 to see if it improved the tone, I don't really want the extra switching capability. All I really want is the bridge pup on it's own, middle (the original IBZ S1) pup on it's own, neck pup on it's own.
I currently have them in but the sound is pretty thin and brittle, definitely not right. I've had the pups a while and were previously in my SZ1220 prestige and a gibson reissue Kramer Baretta, sounding great in both so there might be an issue with the RG's switch/pots but before I buy new electrics for the RG I just want to make sure I have my wiring right with this switch.
Or can anyone recommend an alternative switch that would fit in the RG? I've seen Jems and S series bodies with the VLX-91 switch but that seems to be discontinued now?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
