Title: A

well, just got a bridge Supermassive in my LP, and am disappointed: I was expecting more bite and more dynamics.

Maybe I should have opted for a Nantucket ? I got a BKP91 some years ago (which seems to be the old name of the 'Nantucket', if I am not wrong). And that BKP91 was pure delight to my ears. I was hoping the Supermassive would be similar but with more output. But it's rather compressed and suited for modern styles (sounds very good for this, but not my style)

I am looking for a warm, chiming vintage clean tone with lots of dynamics, and the ability to get Leslie West tones when cranking my tube amp. Do you think I should try the Nantucket ?

BTW, is anyone in Western Europe interested in trading his Nantucket for a Supermassive ? (bridge position, cream soapbar)

cheers

Can't you change it? And did you fiddle with the height? Scatterwound pickups are very sensitive to height. A mm dcan make a lot of difference.
