Title: NAMD - Salvation is upon us!
Post by: FELINEGUITARS on April 19, 2012, 05:25:51 PM
My much looked forward to modified modules for my Egnater/Randall system arrived today from Salvation Mods in Czech Republic

The top one is a special module based on the amp used by Accept's Wolf Hoffman .
This is the second one of these ever made - the first being made to order for Wolf himself.
It is very Marshall like but with a swepable mid frequency  - sonically it's spot on for Accept and much of  the other German hard rock that I like.

The bottom module is the Mash-oldano which is a tasty hybrid between a hot rodded Marshall and Soldano .
This started life as an Egnater MHG module, and sounds much better now for the stuff I like.
Haven't had time to play these much but from the limited time that I have I'm blown away :D

Wow, those look killer. So they're preamps, I presume?

They are preamp modules containing the circuitry and valves to make the genuine valve circuit.

These fit within a rack preamp or an amp that can utilise these preamp modules (Egnater or Randall)

I currently have them in my workshop rack

This is a fun rig to play through. Hope you have lots of fun with those new mods.

Oh and Jon, not to thread jack, but I have finally put 11-52 on the Les Paul you brought back to life for me! It's a beaut!

Here's a clip of the Wolf Hoffman module - just stuck a zoom Q3 in front of the amp

That sounds awesome, definitley has a german flavour to the sound, not too familiar with accept, but it makes me think of some of the late 80's / early 90's scorpions

Your workshop rig is still my favourite to play through!

They just look awesome!!! I don't know anything about Accept, but I have been intrigued by the mash-oldano since I first saw at and based on a two channel Eggie module it must be killer. I should start snagging up some dual modules for further modding.
