Title: Trouble installing the EMG het set
Post by: Madsakre on May 06, 2012, 05:05:00 PM
Hi guys. Loomer installed the HET set in one of my guitars the other day. At first the input would only work if we had the jack halfway in. Next it buzzed as FUKK like there was no grounding. Lastly, i got it home, and now i noticed that the sounds' like a wah pedal in the chain. What could possibly have gone wrong the last time!?

Sounds to me like some faulty input jack wiring.

I guess you are using a barrel jack? They can be an absolute pain to wire up.

i got everything fixed out now. Seems like some loose wires etc. Its quite unorthodox now, but i like it. I made my 3 way into a killswitch. all's dead in 1'st position. i run both pickups in middle, and bridge only in 3'rd position.

These pickups are some of the best i've ever tried. A pain to install though :/

I got a set & they kick arse.  I have blackouts and x series emg's but the het set is best.
