I was quite surprised by the amount of coverage it got on BBC news - there was literally nothing else for hours this evening on Radio 5 Live.

I don't remember elections in other countries (USA excepted) getting much more than a passing mention in the past!

well, I think it has the potential to make quite an impact in the wider context of the European financial situation especially once Greece figures out what it's doing. I imagine some Germans won't be sleeping well tonight.

I have never taken sarko seriously... mostly because I was looking at his wife.

Granted she's a bit old for me and will be hiding the lines with a bit of makeup, her body for her age is amazing
