I've made my own strat style guitar from a kit which has comparatively cheap pickups/wiring.
In order to experience the slow hand pickups fully, would I have to change all the electrics or doesn't it make a difference?
If there would be a huge difference, which brand/shop should I go for (send a link)?
The body is Alder, Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard.

I would Definately change it all. You're only as strong as your weakest link.

I don't know which electrics to change to.
Is there anything BKP recommend?
-
The BKP pots and caps are said to be very good, generally recommended around here.
Have not gotten around to trying them myself, but next PU order will include enough to replace the wiring in at least 2 guitars.

Ahh cool, do you mean the 280K or CTS 250k?
-
Yes, get three (3) 250k CTS pots, a 5-Way CRL switch, 2.2 capacitors (I recommend propylene Orange Drop caps for the Slow Hands (propylene #216) and a switchcraft jack. Your wires should be okay.
You'll open up the tone pipe with those componets. :)

3!!!
I think I'll try it with 1 first.
Thanks for your reply, it has given me something to think about.
