My tele has a maple board opposed to the one in the video.

Amp/pedals play a role too. I can get this kind of one with my Blues Junior into 2x12 cab and Reezafratzitz in front with the gain on max 10.00 o'clock. The Blackguard 52 should fit the bill. It suits maple necks. The Yardbird might be a good choiche too. Has a little extra push and a nice midgrowl.

I think my mod50 amp and pedal collection should be able to do what's needed. I was thinking BG 52s myself as they seem to be very versatile and are often described as sounding just like a tele should.

Then there'es your answer! :D
But anyway, I think BG would be best for that as well.

If you play with the vol. and toneknob a tele can do nearly everything.
