Title: guitar wiring with XY midi pad

hey i want to build a guitar in the style of the Manson MB-1.  It has a sustainer pickup, a BK Warpig a killswitch and an XY midi controller pad.  The controller pad is there to control a Korg Kaoss device or a Whammy.  I have noticed that the Supermassive P-90 has optional wiring for an XY pad. 

My question is do i need to get pickups conpatible with the XY midi pad and wire them to the pad or can i keep them independant from the midi controller and still get the wacky Muse sounds Matt gets out of his guitar?

I don't think you are understanding that option. It has nothing to do with midi devices. Check the FAQs.
