I have a matched set of Irish Tour Strat pickups I was going to put in my EJ strat just for kicks. Well the EJ's are perfect for that guitar so I'm toying with the idea of getting a Squire Classic Vibe 60's strat (rosewood neck) and putting the IT's in that. Any idea as to what the results may be, would it be worth it? Theoretically it should be killer.

I responded to your earlier thread and I understand totally you stay with the EJ's in the signature strat, cause they fit to the guitar. I mean these pickups where the results of a lot of testing and tweaking before EJ was satisfied.
The IT's would sure be a good upgrade for the Classic Vibe. They are miles away form the EJ's and more in the ballpark of Fender Texas Specials. I guess you listened clips and you what you can expect: bitey, gritty, good mids and quite some bass for sc's. Great for clean stuff, blues, bluesrock and rock. Scatterwound pickups are sensitive for height, so if you decide to purchase them, fiddle a bit to find the sweet spots.

I think they'd be a great complement to the EJ guitar and pickups. Go for it.

I'm sure that the IT would suit a CV 60s model. I read on other forums that the CV models are equipped with tonerider pickups which are supposed to be good value for money so you might be able to move them on without too much hassle.
