I thought it could be interesting to hear which effects there's on your wish list.
Mine are (at the moment)
Pigtronix Mothership
EHX Ravish Sitar
Digitech Whammy DT
Mad Professor Forrest Green Compressor
Strymon Timeline/Bucket Brigade/El Capistan
Skreddy ? Lady
Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser and Fuzz God II
-
Strymon Blue Sky Reverb
Strymon El Capistan
Keeler Stretch Wah
Emma Stinkbug
Okko Diablo +
Brunetti Taxi Driver
Brunetti Mercury OD
Barber Tonepress (compressor)
Empress Tremelo (tap)
Retrosonic Chorus
-
Just the Ravish sitar.
Im not really an effects user but that thing will come in handy on a number of songs ive been writing with sitar parts. Rather than using VST's for recording I can use that. Must buy!
-
The only one I've been tempted with is a Catalinbread Semaphore Tremolo otherwise my needs are fairly simple and already met. :)
-
Tim or Timmy
Clone by our very own JuanSolo
I think that's it!
-
I'm thinking about adding a reverb pedal and that's about it.
-
Probably just a reverb for me. Maybe a fuzz. That's about it.
Yep, I'm boring.
-
Reverb you say... *rubs chin* I might just be experimenting with some reverby type things shortly...

None at all for me.
I'm very boring.

An hour or two with Alice would soon change that... ;)

The 3rd one down is actually the Alice that's on the pedal ;)
Essentially it's madder than a box of frogs.
-
^ really poisonous
-
Boss SL-20 Slicer, even though I know I'd get bored of it fairly quickly
-
Boy, that makeup on Alice Cooper doesn't hide very much age, he should try the KISS method. Anyways, I've always wanted to have/try a King of Tone, Centaur, Alairex Halo, Tim, etc. I guess I'm an OD kinda guy
-
i've been wanting to try out a voodoo lab giggity but nobody's got one.
the catalinbread formula 5 looks tasty too!
-
Castledine Grey Wah
Nova Repeater
Fulltone Dejavibe 2
Colorsound TC Tonebender
Rockbox Boiling point

Oh yeah. I forgot the Rockbox. Actually I don't need any pedals I summed up, they just would be an expansion of the arsenal to make a choiche for different gigs.

Having built a lot of pedals now, including a lot of clones of the above what I would say is, if you can, try them with your own kit before committing. Pedals respond very differently to different amps particularly. Certainly a lot of the fuzz/distortion pedals can be really picky bar-stewards.
Anyone in the Yorkshire area is welcome to nip over and bring amps/guitars to try stuff if they like. I'm over there most weekends and can bring any of my pedals along that you might want to try.

Good advice here. I sold quite some od/dist.pedals bec they didn't suit the guitar/amp-combo. My good old Emma Reezafratzitz works in any situation though. :D

I totally agree. I've gone through more OD/dist pedals than any other over the years. I'd get one that had been raved about, find I didn't like it and sell it on. I've never had the same rate of dissatisfaction with any other type of pedal. Now happily settled on my JuanSolo Klonish and a TS-808 for the most part.

Jam Waterfall chorus
EH POG 2
Carbon Copy delay
SkyChord Truck Loud OD
... But I'm a poor man :(

Apart from with Orange amps I've found
I had to stop using my Reeza when I had my Orange as that rig just had too much bass already and the Reeza really didn't work with it I found.
+1 on the other stuff too.
-
I'd just like a really good fuzz - but that might be me coming to the realisation that I'm not a fuzz kinda guy.
Want to love 'em.
Can't.

What are you looking for in a fuzz sound? sound in your head, tune you've heard?

Just had a look around their site. By now there is a new version of it out in the market which has added bass and treble controll.
Might be just the right thing for you.
I certainly am interrested.

I sold my Orange stuff ages ago and I have no need for ODs with my current amp, but thanks for the heads up anyway :D

I use the Reeza with my Rockerverb :D I admit it asks some finetuning. Too much bass on amp/pedal and things get fluffy. The trick is to keep the gain low, say at 9.00 - 10.00 o'clock. Just adds that bit of cream...
-
El Capistan because my Echoplex's tape is dead ...and probably a JuanSolo Klone 8)!
-
Strymon Flint. Time they dealers get some stock!

I saw the demo on YT and it's stunning. Very lush trem's and reverbs. I wish it had an extra button for tap.
Here they have the Strymon-serie on stock.

I phoned Digital Village and placed a preorder for one of these. The Americans seemed to have only just received the first orders through so it's only a matter of time before they're shipped over here! So, so excited.
-
my only real desire at the minute (pedal wise, anyway) is a noise gate. and it looks like that's being sorted out as we speak :)

I have one of these arriving on Thursday. :)
Also just picked up a V2 Xotic EP Booster. Looking forward to trying that out.

Are you going with the ISP?

in a manner of speaking, in a roundabout sort of way.

Radial Big Shot AB/Y
Fuzzrocious Oh See Demon
EHX Big Muff
JuanSolo Klone (just to see what all the fuzz is about)
Some sort of octave down (and up, if at all possible) pedal
-
Probably just a reverb for me. Maybe a fuzz. That's about it.

I'm very boring.
If anything, I was interested in trying a EHX Hum-debugger, for 'noisy' house wiring.
As that is £80 for something to not even be heard - do I qualify for driving the boring score below zero ? Boring minus 1 ? :(
-
Give it a few weeks and there will be a few more Klones up for grabs... I managed to snag some new boards that do the job very nicely (one has already gone and will be winging it's way to a BKPer tomorrow). It'll be a little while though before I get chance to build the other 3 though.
-
I have one of these for sale if your interested?
Pete
Clone by our very own JuanSolo

I was going to say not much as all my modules on the Egnater /Randall take care of most of the flavours
But thinking about it I wouldn't mind
A Klon Centaur
A nice pedal echo/delay
Maybe a chorus and a phaser
EDIT - just fixed the Klon GAS - thanks Pete!

Sorry for the late reply Pete, already sorted as I got one from John a few weeks ago. I will do a review eventually, but even though I haven't had much time to play for the past few months, the little play time I've had with my Klone has made me believe in all the hype.... and the build quality is superb! I raise my glass to John... cheers.
-
i guess
wah (yep, still vacillating and doing nothing, not like me  )
decimator g-string
timmy maybe
decent tuner (turbotuner?)
-
some I have always wanted are:
original mk I Digitech Whammy pedal
genuine vintage black logo script MXR Phase 90
MJM 60s vibe (univibe pedal)
Moog Ring Modulator
Rodger Mayer Fuzz
that's it really, very happy with my pedal-board how it is now

I'd love a Klone Centaur (or a clone of a Klone).
Maybe one day!
-
2 boards left... ;)
-

That sounds a lot like a Tri-Vibe (I suspect probably based on the same thing).
-
2 boards left... ;)
If you can hold it for a year I'll buy one
-
You never know, it might still be there :)
-
I'd better get myself a paper round :o
-
I'd like a TC G-System, thats all I'm really GASing for as far as pedals go. It'll be a perfect setup for my covers band gigs.
-
you seen the g system going cheap on musicradar
-

Just had a look, £575 is a crackin price - but £500 more than I have available right now.
At the minute I'll getting by fine with a Digitech RP-6 that I got for £50
-
2 boards left... ;)
Both spoken for now! :-o
-
I am really regretting selling my Rochester Orange Box to get a Malekko Omicron Phaser... so that's on my list.
A dunlop rotovibe.. interested in those...
I want a tremolo pedal - I had the Catalinbred Semaphore and it was cool but a little too versatile for me :)
I'm hoping I can get my Tremulus Lune back up and running :)
