Hi guys,
My first post here :)
I recently acquired a 7621 and lets just say, I wasn't impressed with the pickups. The guitar itself is fantastic and it plays like a wet dream. I'm after something versatile, I play everything from fusion to death metal and need pickups with a good dynamic range and able to handle a lot of low end (I use a Peavey 6534+ currently) so something that can handle the gain the amp provides. I did a quick search on here but couldn't find much. I like my leads to be smooth and singing but still able to get nasty and plenty of harmonics when needed. For rhythm I want tight, crisp and clear with a nice low end growl. I may be asking too much here, but any help would be greatly appreciated to this BKP nOob PDT_003

Sounds like you want a Miracle Man to me.

That's one I was considering. Also heard good things about the VHII?

The VHII (I have one in an HSS-strat) is a great, balanced dynamic pickup that screams when you dig in. Pinched harmonics a plenty. I'm not sure if it does death metal.

^To be honest it's rarely I play DM, the Ibanez will be my main "shredder" so It needs to be quite versatile but still suitable for my main genre which is more like Protest the Hero, Rise to remain etc, so metal but not overly scooped.

If gibsons classic 57's can be used for pummeling death metal(see gorefest). then fear not if the vhii would cover the same style too. teles with stock pickups have become quite popular in grindcore too.
