Title: Upgrading an Epi LP?

A friend who works at a Music Shop near me has offered me an Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top (Almost brand new) for £200. How would you guys suggest upgrading it? I'm thinking a new set of BKP's and maybe new Jensen caps? I play mostly metal (Dream Theater/Machine Head/Sepultura) which is what this guitar will be used for so need a pair of pickups to match, I'm thinking Miracle Man set? Cheers guys :)

I think Eric's suggestion is good. The Miracle Man will def. suit Machine Head, but I think the C-pig/cold sweat would be better for Dream Theater tones and still be brutal enough.

I'm very similar to Eric as my first thought was A-Bomb in the bridge and Cold Sweat in the neck.
