Hi, I have a Washburn Idol Series WI64VBLD RELIC blonde, a great guitar for the money (It's like a mix between LP and SG),but I want to change the pickups.
I want to get some mix of Black Keys and AC/DC with some Slash-like soloing sound.
I've installed a 3 way series/split/parallel switch for each pickup for getting fun (this guitar sound awesome with split coils).

What BKP's could fit my needs? Maybe The Mules?
Guitar specs:
- Mahogany body
- Set-in mahogany neck
- Rosewood fingerboard
- Grover machine heads
- 2x 3 Way toggle switch for series/split/parallel
- 2x 500k Linear CTS volume pots
- 2x 500k Audio CTS tone pots
- Aged hardware (pickup covers too)
Thanks in advance.

Mules are great vintage pickup, the neck gets great reviews here. Think the Riff Raff and maybe even the VHII would be the ticket for the bridge. So Mule neck and either Riff Raff, Mule or VHII for the bridge would make you very happy....forever.

Thanks.
VHII vs Riff Raff ... It's a hard choice!

Wait untill some of the other guys chime in, but those 2 along with possibly the Mule in bridge are my views. I would be sure on the Mule neck though.

I think riff raff fits better my needs.
Now the question is: potted or unpotted pickups? :?
-
Definitely go for the RR
-
I'll say either a riff raff set or a riff raff bridge/mule neck combo.

Never played the VHII so I can't comment, but the RR/Mule combo is a safe and rather obvious choice for this guitar and the tones you mention.
