ok i know a lot of people on here use hosting sites... i just need one to quickly post a sound clip for everyone on here. i would post it in the players section but its not a pickup demo its about the hum from my amp.
which sites are the quickest/easiest to use?

What ISP do you use?
Most ISP accounts give you a certain amount of space on their server, and they also have handy FTP facilities up there as well so you don't have to figure out how to use FTP software...
For example: Wanadoo give you 30Mb of server space to use, and there's a really good FTP section on there as well. I'm sure other ISP's have similar facilities...

im on tiscali.... have no idea how much space i get or how to use it???!!!

when you registered with Tiscali they would have emailed you with your username, password, email address etc. If they give you webspace (and I'm presuming they do) then part of this would have been an FTP address (starts with ftp://) and the http address of your personal web space.
Download Smart FTP (if you use a PC rather than a Mac or Linux) and enter the FTP address and your username and password in the boxes at the top of the program and connect.

for mp3 soundclips - soundclick.com is fantastic
I've got all my clips on www.soundclick.com/bainzy

The Tiscali Home Page should have info regarding "Building a Website" etc, just ask your folks if it's OK first though...

ok thanks for the info guys.
lol no need for any of that right now though because 'Ol' just made sound clips postable in the tech section! but its all useful stuff anyway so thanks again.
