Title: Pickup suggestions for Ibanez RGA121NTF (80's Thrash)
Post by: megaup987 on July 06, 2012, 06:19:09 AM
Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a bridge pickup options for my Ibanez RGA121NTF. It's a bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body/maple top, fixed bridge. I'm looking for something that would be good for 80's Thrash (think Metallica, Slayer), something that would be good for fast palm muted 16ths notes on low E. Tuning is Standard E (sometimes Eb). The sound comes from a Marshall JMP-1.

Right now I'm torn between Miracle Man and Aftermath. But all suggestions are appreciated.

Nailbomb is more 90's Metal to me but it could work if you like your tone really aggressive. Of the two you mentioned, I'd go Miracle Man.
