Well, it works OK. It still sounds great (amazing over the stock pickups), but I feel i need more mids (which is odd because the HD has lot's of mids in my LP)
The HD 7 is in a Carvin DC727; a Koa neck-through/top with swamp ash wings. I decided to go with the HD because I have one in my mahogany LP and it sounds perfect.
I'm thinking of trying out a rebel yell instead of the Holydiver. I don't really want to go ceramic, and I hear the Rebel Yell is bright with plenty of mids. Any suggestions?

Well if you want upper mids and treble the RY is certainly the ticket in comparison the the HD! I'd say go for it, sounds like it's what you need.

This. The HD and the Rebel Yell are excellent counterparts as they are perfect for the same types of music but they have different characteristics that make each one more suitable to certain guitars.
