Hey everyone,
I have a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, and I've been thinking about getting a Laney cabinet to go with it since the Laney dealer is nearby. What do you guys think?
PS: I can't get a Mesa Boogie cabinet unfortunately because they're unavailable here.

I've heard great things about Laney Cabs. I just hope that's true as I'm getting the Laney Ironheart stack on Friday. I'd really like to know this too.

which laney cab?

I think Laney cabs are pretty good in general. I usually don't hear them in the same category as ones like Mesa, Orange, Bogner, etc. but they're usually up there somewhere.

well, don't remember playing a recto through one (although I had a single and a dual), but my modded 50w vintage marshall JMP (which is as gainy and low mid heavy as a recto) sounds better through some straight laney cab (not sure if the rocket 50 or the HH loaded one) than through the recto oversized cab (both are in the same studio room)
my amp sounds very nasal with the recto cab, so I have to lower bass, mids and crank the presence
the laney cab doesn't sound as clear as it would with top speakers, but sounds very balanced
but keep in mind that rectos are very picky
best cab for that amp, in my experience, was the framus cobra cab
