Title: Google Chrome
Post by: richard on August 23, 2012, 02:44:02 PM
Anyone using this and having problems ? Mine has more or less ground to a halt. It opens okay and will load the first site I select but trying to go anywhere else is hopeless. Takes an age. I can get it to work better by restarting my PC but I've gone back to Firefox which works fine.

Never had a single problem with Chrome, did you try installing the update?

Appears to be up to date but totally useless.

I recently installed it for the first time having had problems with Firefox and so far, a vast improvement.

Only time I've had a problem it's always been flash playing up

Chrome itself is rock solid

I used to use Chrome a lot - however, I've recently installed Ubuntu on one of my PCs, and now Firefox is running super-quick.  Renders really well too - it just LOOKS better.

Yeah I keep having problems with Chrome. It always says "failed to respond" and turns watercoloured. Flash always plays up a bit, too. Back to Firefox for me. I find the add-ons are better, too.

Been using Chrome for at least a couple of years now, previously Firefox.  I find Chrome is rock solid.

I switched to Chrome at home about a year ago when Firefox started suffering from bloat and memory leak issues and I've been really impressed. Firefox has improved somewhat over the last 6 months (I use it at work) but I'm still finding it a bit buggy and thus far Chrome has been better for me. I'm on a Mac at home and Linux at work.

I've been through Chrome, Firefox and now I'm using Opera most of the time. I think Opera works best on slower/Vista systems. On Windows 7 there's not much difference.
