Two mysterious Tele models that I can't google enough info on...
1) Blind Faith era Clapton double bound Strat head Tele... what?? Was this a Fender model or a home made neck pocket butchery?
2) Joe Bonamassa Suhr Thinline metal body ala Trussart-ish.... Is this truly a hollow metal body, where can I get a thinline hollow metal body, was this guitar a one off custom??
Thanks

Looks like Clapton just bolted on the neck from Brownie to a Tele. No butchery required:

Are you talking about Joe's Gigliottis?

What the man said! :)

OK, well the first question is answered, yes it's a round peg in a square hole, a bit of a butchery if you prefer a snug neck pocket fit... LOL
..and indeed it was a Gigliotti, going back and looking at the video closely. The head shape and the script logo automatically made my brain think "Suhr" incorrectly.
Thanks!!

Clapton didn't bother I'm sure, he just bolted it on and played it ;)

I'm sure Clapton just bolted it on. Absolutely sure.
There was/is an old style session player (whose name I can't recall) who had a tele but with a jazzmaster neck. Will take a look round later - I did like the look of that one.

Here it is (Joe Messina):

Bit of a poor quality pic but you get the idea.
