Title: Is this wiring possible? And if so, how?
Post by: Bob Gnarly on September 28, 2012, 05:57:40 PM
Got my Warpig 4 conductor, and Sinner s/c today. (Excited)
I'm putting them in a Patrick Eggle New York.
It has a 2 way mini toggle switch, and 1 Volume pot.
I want the volume to be push/pull, with the pull position activating the sinner, with a single coil of the warpig together.
Possible?

And if so, can anyone help with a wiring diagram?
I've searched extensively, and come up with nothing.
Big ask I know, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

so what will the 2-way be doing - are you happy to never have the sinner on its own?

Why not replace the 2 way mini toggle with a 3 way doing B-BN-N then put the split of the bridge pup on the push-pull? Would give you the most combinations poss using just the two controls and still remain simple.

Thanks for the replies guts.
The 2 way will select either Bridge or neck.
The pull position on the pot, will coil tap the bridge, AND bring in neck.
This will give me 3 configurations.
Sorry if this wasn't clear in my original post.

The 3 way switch, with coil tap is an option, but both coils of the bridge and the neck together isn't a sound I want, so to get to the third sound I want I'd have to pull the coil tap and select the middle position of the 3 way.

I'm pretty sure this was the original configuration of the Patrick Eggle New Yorks (with the addition of a tone pot, but the original electronics were ripped out some time ago, and I can't source a diagram from anywhere)
