Title: Black or Chrome tune-o-matic bridge. Help me decide
Post by: Bob Gnarly on October 01, 2012, 07:25:32 PM
I've Just fitted a burnt chrome warpig (and a sinner, with bogie green cover)
I'm going to upgrade my bridge to a tonepros AVR 2
The current gold bridge, which worked with the gold covered Duncan JB now looks pants.

Chrome/nickel would be the obvious choice

But I'm fancying black, even though I have no other black hardware

Please excuse the limited photoshop skills, and the banality of the post. I am extremely bored due to having limited mobility because of a knackered back.

Black would look badass.. but change the ferrules to black too, it's cheap and easy to do.

Black matches the volume knob and pickup surround so ties in well with them. Given the tarnished nature of the Warpig, I think chome would be too 'new' looking and nice.

A black pickup cover for the neck single could be worth considering too? Or even a burnt chrome option in the future if that exists?

Black looks cool! You could always get a Nickel one and heat it up to give it the burnt look

I tried attacking a nickel bridge with one of those mini blow torches, but to no effect. May just need MOAR power though.
Gotoh do a black chrome which would look great, but I want uncut saddles so I can fine tune my string spacing, and the Gotoh ones all seem pre cut.
Black looks like the way to go though. Thanks all
