I had the pleasure of seeing Big Jim play on numerous occasions in various pubs around the Sussex area. The guy was amazing.

Post by: mikeluke on October 04, 2012, 08:51:25 AM: He used to play the pub circuit around Chichester, Pulborough etc in Sussex as part of various duos - watching him up close and personal was fantastic - everything from blue to rock to country - shredding, two-handed tapping, you name it, he could do it. Then we'd get to the 'break' and he'd play some amazing jazz stuff.

I had no idea who he was the first time I saw him - he just looked like a fat grandad with a pony tail and specs perched on the end of his nose - and then he hit the first note from 'Still Got the Blues' and it was "Wow!!!"
