Well first off I must thank Dave for his advice ref this purchase. The story started at the B'ham guitar show in '2005, I was just walking around as you do, when I saw it... I just stood and stared, eventually I went over and picked it up and played a few chords, it felt awesome, looked awesome and rang out like a bell. I told my mate one day I'd get one although I never actually thought I would and with the economy nosediving and me selling off loads of gear that kind of put an end to that. Since then I've dreamed of this guitar and when Dave bought his around to my house it just re-ignited my determination to see it through. so, without further ado here he is.... I got this yesterday and am still pincinging myself. the Eagle has landed.....
It's 2005 NOS, signed off on 19/8/2005, my youngest son was born on 19/8/1995! It's slate blue, I'm sure you know the rest of the specs but here's the pics.... I'm still smiling, I honestly couldn't sleep last night

Nice one! All this PRS stuff is making me wish I hadn't sold my 245.

I'm now reaching for my battered Baja and convincing myself it is the perfect guitar for me at the moment.

That has to be one of the most interesting tops I've ever seen. Goes from a medium wide flame to something close to tiger stripes to extremely wide flame, I could stare at it for days! Congrats!

Thanks guys I still can't believe I can cross this off my bucket list! Yes I'm still grinning which my better half thinks rather odd because she says I never normally smile!  :lol:

Very very nice guitar. Those necks feel amazing. Love unfinished wood and how it feels.

I have experimented a lot for Bridge pickups on my McRosie, and I settled on a RiffRaff.
Clarity without harshness. Just so in case you wanna touch the holy PRS guts ;)

Cheers, it's not too bad but nowhere near as comfy as the neck on the guitar!  :lol:

Lol... I'm cool. Firstly I'm happy that Dave has his game changing guitar, I think it's awesome as I would for anyone to get THE special guitar. I'm not fussed whether or not people actually like any of my gear as long as I have what I like... it's just a nice bonus. Hand on heart I can say that I would take the one I have over any other guitar even an old LP or Strat as I've had this to play and gig. So don't feel any sympathy mate it's all good!  :lol:  Also, Dave did help me make my decision as to whether to get this or not.... Top guy and he deserves those beauties!

This IS a big deal - anyone getting a Modern Eagle is a big deal!  I'm stoked for Don, as I know how much he's wanted one  :)

A very handsome guitar indeed. Probably not my cuppa cha but I certainly appreciate the quality and you seem delighted with it which is all that matters.

Congrats,Don !It's gorgeous and it's also my "dream guitar",even the colour ;slate is the one i prefer !Does it sound as good as it looks and feels ?
