Title: Movember
Post by: bucketshred on October 25, 2012, 11:47:26 AM
A friend of mine are doing Movember this year. Anyone else doing it? It's a great charity which highlights men's cancer issues.

http://uk.movember.com/ - check it out here!

Anyone got any moustache growing/grooming tips?

I think i will.  in previous years i had already been beardy before november,  this year i think i'll go at it with a clean sheet, so to speak :)

I tried it one year, but didn't like the results. My moustache looked decent in a retro kind of way, but generally I wasn't happy.

Someone asked me if I was doing Movember once. On something like the 4th of November.

I look like this:

I can't compete with nfe's hirsuteness, but I have a goatee and haven't been clean-shaven for at least 10 years.

So no Movember for me, but I'm there in spirit.

I did it last year.  Managed to raise a few hundred quid, actually, which I was very happy with.

Less happy with the Mo though - ginger, grey and patchy.

I've had a beard for a good five years now and a 'tache looks way too porn on me - handlebar even moreso.

Do you need to go from clean shaven?

Is it only for November?

Silly question, but do I need to shave tonight as to not actually shave in November?

Gotta follow the rules you know.

Only if you like shaving so much you're determined to squeeze in one more before the start of November.
