Howdy all.
Would someone interested mind downloading this song and give me an indication of how they got that tone??
I'm building my Warmoth Strat with IT in neck/mid and a trilogy bridge for the real rocky stuff.
All wound the same way so that I can use a Suhr noise reducing backplate to cancel the 60 cycle hum.
I'm worried that because of this I'm NOT going to get he classic position 4 (middle and bridge) start sound.
Timbo, (who has now replied to about 7 of my emails and hasn't even called me a stalker...) has stated that Fender had the classic strat sound with them all wound the same way until the late fifties (or something) so I might be ok.
Does the rewound positions of 2 and 4 mean they are out of phase??? Could I put a toggle in to put my stick pickups 'out of phase ' in position 2 and 4??? Or am I barking up the wrong tree....???
Any advise on how to get the tone of My Baby???
Thanks all.
(A random guitar tech I came across has installed only one set of BKP into a strat - not sure which but stated that they are the best pickups he's ever heard......)
