Alright so I'm VERY close to buying a calibrated chrome set of Aftermath's; HOWEVER, I just wanted to get some of your opinions prior to spending the cash. I run an Ibanez Prestige RGA121 with the EMG 81/85 combo through a boss cs3- ibanez ts9- golden cello- ISP decimator and straight into my Peavey 6505+ half stack. I understand "better" is subjective, but how much "better" will the tone be with an aftermath? What are the tonal differences that I'll experience? As far as what I'm looking for, I want a pickup that'll be relatively crunchy and tight from Standard to Drop C that will work in low gain as well as high gain. Also, I want it to have really nice warm thick leads, unlike the kind of thin sound of the EMG's. Thoughts?

Here are some vids.

Also for warm thick leads i'd personally go with the MM neck. My 2 cents :)

Those are two videos that I've looped pretty hard lately. I've been watching tons of videos to see what I can find. I'm not sure how I feel about the Miracle Man though.. I want something with a good amount of mids for that chord note clarity. Thank you for your 2 cents though! Still makes me a richer man.

Lol its all good dude.
When your the one spending the money you gotta make the call :)
I just bought a mule bridge and am waiting for it to arrive. But also send an email to the BKP guys if your still in question mode about the pickups. They know their stuff better then anyone here lol.

Ben from BKP said the Aftermath's would sit well with my rig and would get me a Periphery-ish tone. They DO have an amazing tone.. I'll probably end up playing 40% djent 40% stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zGvgrTVPfc and 20% stuff like August Burns Red and Parkway Drive along with the occasional Dream Theater riff.
