Very nice collection. Love the new addition 8)

What a lovely bunch. The two gibbos and the ME are having a go at which one that got the best looks.
-
The JP gets my vote for best looker. Which is the best player?
-
Blimey, they all look great, and nice photos! :D
I like your bass and Egyptian-themed Yamaha, almost more than the electrics!

Great collection you have! I like the G&L Wayne T, though I left Floyds long time ago. Looks like a versatile axe.

Thanks fella's! I'm in a good place at the minute because I actually have the guitars I want, pretty much all bases are covered and non of the guitars need any work on them pick up wise/ electrics or set ups... they all sound great. If I do anything it will be a re-fin on the Gordon Smith, Pelham blue or similar and I'd see if a Maestro would fit.
Which is the best player? That's a hard one. What I can say is the one I find hardest to play is the '57 R.I Custom. The 2 that fight for being the easiest to play or rather the ones that make certain songs easier to play are the Wayne and ME. The unfinished necks make them feel really slick as you may expect. The one that sustains the the longest, the ME. My favourite sounding is the Gordon Smith, honestly it's a fantastic guitar. Whilst I am not stupid enough to say it's better than a Gibson (or other Sg type) and that the finish you can would have been less than great even when new, this SG is simply perfect for me. Because the neck is set further into the body it balances perfectly without the need for a strap that grips your shirt. It sounds like an SG should, I really can't say enough about it... the best £300 I've ever spent on a guitar! The Yamaha electro also has an unfinished mahogany neck and it has a really full sound. The G&L is another dark horse, I've tried so hard to find a Fender that works for me and this one does the job perfectly. Ultimately my number 1 is the Page LP, I've just grown into it, it's the one that feels like home. My favorite is the ME, it's been a long time coming and it does not disappoint at all. There is no honeymoon period, I'm too old to be hyping anything up just justify it to myself... it's the dogs!

I love the look of the JP - is it a #1 or #2 replica, or just a JP model?

#1 or #2??? I wish!!!! It's just an older '96 model so nothing fancy. I think essentially it's just a LP standard with a slightly different neck profile. I took all the fancy switching out and replaced it with an RS kit. It's a great guitar that's growing old gracefully.

Good move! That switching would drive me nuts.

Thanks Phily. The back of the Yamaha is stunning, shame a mate has put a few dings in the top fpr me! :( He's a big clumsy Oaf and I should have known better really!

Really nice! :D
Is that model part of the Compass series? They really appeal to me, just in terms of looks, although I'm not much into acoustics. I don't even know if they're still making them.

Yeah, it's a Compass CPX 15EA. They do still make the CPX15 but I don't think they are the N, S, EA or W themed models. I recall there was one that was a really nice blueburst that looked like the Ocean.... beautiful.
